We are a cherry production plant that has dumped our left over cherry pits in a landfill. We would like to come up with a more eco-friendly solution to the question: What to do with the left over cherry pits?
Cherry production plant seeks an EcoSolution that allows recycling or reuse of cherry pits, instead of tossing them away. Prefer a solution that involves minimal transportation distance from plant, but can still use dump truck (which is already used to transport to land fill).
The best answer will win a free crate of cherries and honorable mention in our company blog and newsletter!

What are the Eco Icons? For any EcoChallenge, choose one or more icons that best reflects the category of sustainability that is helped by an EcoSolution. If an EcoSolution results in a new way to recycle something, choose the Recycle Icon; if an EcoSolution results in less waste production, choose the Reduce Waste Icon. A new water conservation method may represent multiple icons. You decide! If your EcoChallenge does not fall under any of the Icons, please let us know so we can create a new one! Richard Halpern: Eco Icons turn from RED to GREEN when the challenge is solved!
Renee Johnson: Depending on where you are located in Oregon you may consider a commercial composting facility- like Republic's Pacific Region Compost or JC Bio for biodigestion.
